Friends of White Spire would like to thank everyone for their continued support and all they have donated to the children at White Spire School. The children have benefited from Free Fruit weekly, trips to amazing places such as Woburn Safari Park, Coca-Cola factory tours, Drayton Manor, Easter eggs , Christmas decorations and gifts, new garden area and a brand new stage piano for the Music Department. The school council asked, FoWS have listened and arranged with Marshall Amplification in Bletchley who have VERY generously donated a portable speaker. Valued at £270 this lightweight but powerful Bluetooth Speaker is perfect for our school. Thank you Marshall Amplification for supporting a local school for disabled children in Bletchley. Emma and Diana from Marshall's your help and support is greatly appreciated. Marshall have also agreed for 20 of our pupils with teachers and TA's to have a factory tour in April.

Tesco Bletchley

The team at FoWS can’t offer a big enough thank you to the team at Tesco in Bletchley. For the last 3 years they have the school with fresh fruit every Friday, special thanks must be passed to Ravi the store manager and Matt and Dan, each week they prepare donations that enable the children to enjoy Fresh Fruit every friday, The children all love fruit Fridays. CO-OP Local Community Fund

We are pleased to advise you all that the Co-op Local Community Fund is now open for members to choose and give their 1% spend to White Spire School. This funding period is from now until 27 October 2018. Every time members shop at the Co-op, 1% of what they spend on selected own-brand products and services goes to the Co-op Local Community Fund. We want to replace our trim trail with any funding we receive. Co-op will also give White Spire School an equal share of the money it raises from sales of carrier bags. Members in our local community can choose White Spire School as their chosen cause and give your 1% from now. The more you shop, the more the Co-op shares – it’s simple! It costs £1 to become a Co-op member. This buys you a share in the Co-op, which gives you 5% back to spend next time when you buy Co-op products amongst other benefits. The Rotary Club, the E-District 1070

Kelly Poulter is the Chairperson of FoWS and the driving force. This year Kelly met The Rotary Club and spent time telling them all about our amazing school and incredible students and they promised to help. And help they have, in December 2017, 50 Children and carers from school will be getting a coach to Drayton Manor Park, they will be able to ride 21 rides, watch it snow 3 times in the day, watch 4D cinema, have lunch, meet Santa and all has been funded by the Rotary Club!! We at FoWS would like to pass on our heartfelt thanks to the Rotary Club, it's an incredible opportunity for so many students who will no doubt have the time of their lives, as soon as we have photos from the trip we will share them with you… Find out more about the Rotary Club at Rotary Club 1070

 

The Co-op Local Community Fund

Another one of our amazing Mums Paula has secured funding for 11 months with the Co-op Community Fund. Every time you spend in any Co-op store and show your member card FoWS will receive 1% of your spend. All you need to do is apply for your Membership Card and nominate FoWS - Friends of White Spire as your nominated charity.Coop Membership

 

West Bletchley Council

Each year West Bletchley run an amazing Carnival, it’s always an incredible day out with floats and stalls, music and more. This your the Council made FoWS the recipient of £2743.42 - Special thanks go to Councillor Ernie Thomas who nominated FoWS to receive this donation, the money will used to enhance the playground areas around the school.

 

Bunnings Warehouse

Bunnings Warehouse who worked together with FoWS during the week of the 18th of September to transform the old quiet garden into a new outdoor learning environment that all the students can benefit from. The project was a great success and Bunnings have agreed to come back in the spring next year to help further improve this area with us. We are very grateful for the help and support.

Well done FOWS, and all you supporters, thank you to all of you that have donated, bought raffle tickets and attended coffee mornings. One of the requests for the school came from the music department and a stage piano was on the list, Mrs Mudway had been requesting one for a number of years, well with the help of Yamaha and Musickavern we have been able to buy a brand new stage piano that has been donated to the music department at school.

 

Thank you to Sainsbury’s MK Hub and their Staff for the incredible support of the Children at White Spire School, they donated Christmas sweets and treats for all the children.  Thank You
