The Student Council is made up from one student from each class. Democratically, they are voted in by their own tutor group to represent them. The council meets on a regular basis. They bring to the meeting any concerns raised by their tutor group. The meetings are minuted and a copy of the minutes is circulated to the whole school. There is a Chairperson and a Vice Chairperson. The Chairperson often has to go to talk to the Headteacher about specific concerns raised at the meetings. Sometimes, the Headteacher will attend a meeting; if s/he cannot attend, s/he will write a letter which will be read out by a member of staff. Mrs Sue Carroll helps run the School Council as part of Citizenship. Ms Lorraine Hanson takes the mintues for each meeting.
